Wow, thank you so much for the wonderful review of Designing with the Desert on your Substack! I truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts with your readers. Your perspective means a lot to me. My sincere hope is that the book can be a valuable resource for everyone in the Vegas Valley, whether they're seasoned gardeners or just learning to understand and work with our desert environment.
Btw, I do love carob trees and it's nice to know there are still some venerable specimens around town to be treasured where they are hidden in backyard gardens! You're lucky!
Last summer’s heat was very hard on it. But I’ve been giving it extra TLC. Fingers crossed. Actually, if you have an arborist you like working with I’d love to know!
For the benefit of your readers who may be in the same boat and wanting to best preserve the health of their mature trees I would also add, please avoid the tree removal companies and make sure your arborist has a certification.:-)

Yes, last summer was a tough one! For trees I usually suggest Schilling or Dennis Swartzell, but there are other local Certified Arborists listed on the ISA website: https://www.treesaregood.org/findanarborist/findanarborist
